"We have had a problem with noise from the flat above us in Lady Isle House Ferry Court Cardiff. We contacted a Mr Paul Staniforth who immediately became involved and addressed the situation. We really do appreciate what he has done for us and cannot thank him enough. Once again a big thank you to Mr Staniforth. The noise above was intolerable."

Our aim is to make Management Company Directors feel empowered: to us this means 100% transparency and advising them of the options available to support decision making. We know volunteer directors have a day job, so work to delivery what they need in a timely manner and guide them on the decisions we need.

Little Chalfont - Cultural Scene
Little Chalfont is a village in south-east Buckinghamshire. It is one of a group of villages known collectively as The Chalfonts, which also comprises Chalfont St. Giles, and Chalfont St. Peter. Little Chalfont is 21.9 miles from the centre of London. The word Chalfont originates from the old English "cealc", for chalk, and "funt", for spring. There is a connection to the wells of the district, that are thickly infused with chalk. The name "chald" emerged, and Chaldfont spoken rapidly became "Chalfont", meaning cold springs.
During the reign of King William I, "The Conqueror", (r. 1066-1087), the Domesday Book of 1086, the name was Celfunte and Celfunde. In the Medieval era, there were many subsequent variations of the spelling: Chaufhunte in 1195, and Chalfunt in 1220.
John Milton, (1608-1674), was one of England's greatest poets. He was also a Parliamentarian; and after Cromwellian times, Charles II, (r. 1660-1685), restored the Monarchy. John Milton was targeted by the king. Criticism of the Monarchy was not tolerated: his father, Charles I, (r. 1625-1649), had been executed by beheading, under instructions of the Parliamentarians. In addition to Milton's difficulties, the outbreak of the Black Death in London, made life there impossible. In 1665, the now blind Milton, and his wife Elizabeth Minshull and probably his daughter, Deborah, came to Chalfont St. Giles, where his Quaker friend Thomas Ellwood, had found him "that pretty box in St. Giles Chalfonte." Although he lived here for less than two years, Milton's Cottage was an important place in the writer's life. Here, he completed Paradise Lost, and was inspired to write its sequel, Paradise Regained. These great works are a testament to the poet's enduring legacy, and universal recognition as one of the world's greatest writers.
In 1889, during the late Victorian era, Chalfont Road station was opened at the northern side of Chalfont St. Giles Parish, where the parishes of Amersham, Chenies and Chalfont St. Giles met. At the time, the area was remote from the centres of villages and towns. It consisted of isolated farms and cottages, and did not have a specific name.
Little Chalfont originates as recently as the 20th century, and was initiated by the opening of the Metropolitan Railway. A community developed around the station. In 1915, during the reign of George V, (1910-1936), the station was renamed Chalfont & Latimer. It was originally served by steam-hauled Metropolitan Line trains, with a changeover to an electric locomotive at Rickmansworth. Steam trains were finally withdrawn in 1961. The Chalfont & Latimer Underground station we know today, is on the Metropolitan Line.
Little Chalfont remains a desirable place to live, with a high rate of home ownership. Its population has a higher level of residents born in the UK than the national average, and older than the national average.
A planning application for Little Chalfont Park has been registered by the planning authority, Buckinghamshire Council. The planning application has been submitted on behalf of Biddulph (Buckinghamshire) Ltd, to bring forward a new neighbourhood at the former golf course site and Homestead Farm, between Lodge Lane and Burtons Lane, to the south east of Little Chalfont.
The new proposals at Little Chalfont Park will provide much needed new homes in a high quality landscaped setting. This includes the potential for affordable housing and provision for the elderly, a new primary school and nursery, community hub and valley park. It will extend to make improvements to junctions on the A404 and public transport infrastructure, and pedestrian routes and cycleways.
