Client facing Finance & Ops Manager, Management Accountant - Property (part time 3 days/20 hours)
The Ringley Group is looking for an experienced finance manager who can manage, scrutinise and enjoys a deep dive into reporting, expenditure, budgets and other specific KPIs. This role is Manchester based. You will be 10 years PQE and understand nominal ledger, trial balance, PNL and balance sheet accounting, and, be able to compile and dissect both corporate and management accounts. The best candidate will also have some experience of landlord rent statements, vat on service charges, service charge accounts and the law that underpins it.
You will enjoy root cause analysis and people as much as the numbers and be able to articulate and tell the story the numbers mean. You will the Client face of our finance function and ready to prepare and support Managers at meetings.
Part of the role is to police transactions, act as internal audit and check fraud controls and manage exception reports to fact find reality and sense check all Client reporting before it goes out.
The Ringley Group are asset managers, block and property managers and have professional services: land, solicitors, valuers and engineers too.
Our finance procedures are pretty advanced, including machine learning, robot and batch processes. Our month end reporting is about exception reports, reality and making the numbers mean something: insights, trends, analysis to get zoom focus and drive asset value. We are running over 100 automated KPIs and the last stage of our lift off preparedness journey is data/dashboard aggregation for Client portfolios and completing automated graphic insight reports to demonstrate how we are driving the value of each Client's asset.
We run a panel of external accountants to prepare the service charge accounts as well as external certifiers. As policeman you need to review the accounts, take action on recovery of balance sheet debts, measure balancing charges and anticipate the politics and stray expenditure that should be reserves.
The heads of each department in the group need someone to support them, explain their cashflows, unpick debtors, help them understand their margins, cost base and business profit drivers. There are some opportunities remaining to find and save time in processes, and drive fees per fee earner.
What does a Client facing Finance & Ops Manager, Management Accountant -Property - 3 days/flexible do?

Relevant experience ideally would include property sector experience: Audit, Credit Control, BTR Senior Finance Officer You will be organised, disciplined and someone who we can trust implicitly to meet and exceed deadlines.
