Post-Lockdown Housing Market: Opportunities for Buyers amid Government Reforms
The housing market is cranking back into gear after the Government lifted curbs on property viewings and removals, liberating buyers to go hunting for bargains. Mary-Anne Bowring, managing director at Ringley Group, said the market will take time to return to its pre-coronavirus state and backed Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors' calls for a stamp duty holiday: This would trigger a stampede in transactions, while extending the Help to buy scheme will support sales and housebuilding.
