Ringley Group makes double hire within its living sector team, strengthening its offering to the Build to Rent and co-living sectors.

Asset and operational management partner Ringley Group makes a double hire within its living sector team. The pair will strengthen the company’s offering to the residential rental sectors including Build to Rent, co-living and senior living.

Ex Palace Executive Director, Richard Starr joins as a consultant, and former Marsh & Parsons Director Robert Pratt joins as Managing Director for Build to Rent mobilisation and leasing in the South of England.

Both Richard and Robert will help drive Ringley’s offering to implement asset and operational management strategies for institutional investors including Europa Capital, Patrizia, Gresham House and Rise Homes.

Mary-Anne Bowring, Group Managing Director, Ringley Group: “Rich and Robert are highly experienced and will be instrumental in reinforcing and expanding our market-leading offering to investors. Domestic and international investors are increasingly turning to net-operating income models in the UK, and are looking for partners to derisk these investments through efficiency-discovering asset and operational management strategies. Our highly experienced team, with many years in the game, helps deliver this.”

Richard brings over 20 years’ experience to Ringley in real estate investment, and has spent nine years at Palace Capital plc. He will focus on implementing the company’s corporate vision and growing its institutional investor client base.

Richard Starr, Consultant for Ringley Group: "The operational residential sectors are at varying degrees of maturity here in the UK, but a commonality between them is a knowledge gap when it comes to truly understanding operational management strategies. This will be the battleground amongst institutional investor for many years to come and I look forward to helping Ringley to strengthen its presence in this space.”

Robert will specialise in leasing strategies for Build to Rent investors in the South East of England, bringing over 15 years’ experience in agency. He joins from London specialist Druce, where he was lettings director, after a decade at Marsh and Parsons.

Robert Pratt, Managing Director for Build to Rent Mobilisation and Leasing in the South of England: “With the Build to Rent sector becoming more competitive by the week as renters recognise the value of the offer, and the product continues to improve, leasing strategies must become more sophisticated as a result. Those which are genuinely tech-enabled, and use creative techniques to attract new residents, stand to benefit, and I am delighted to support Ringley’s offer in this regard.”

The announcement follows Ringley’s appointment of two additional senior hires in March, both joining from Foxtons.

Ringley Group designs and implements asset and operational management strategies – from site selection through to acquisition, planning, design operations and exit. The company also works with owners of existing assets to enhance their operational strategies.

Key to the company’s offering is its proprietary technology platform, which covers a multitude of asset and operational management functions – including consolidated asset reporting, AI and robotic fund accounting, golden thread data, site maintenance and management, resident hospitality, and more. Ringley has built the in-house platform over the last four years to help find efficiencies and drive portfolio value for its users.

Headquartered in London, Ringley has additional branches in Manchester and Cardiff, and employs over 110 people. Other current and past clients include Berkeley Group, Curlew, Gresham House, Grosvenor, Long Harbour and Moda. The company has over £6bn and 13,500 homes under management.
