Block Management Overview

Management is about the minutia done well. It takes a team across a range of disciplines to deal with the multiple facets of block and estate management: politics, building pathology, finance, legal knowhow and of course customer service too.

At Ringley we believe in joined up thinking and commit to signpost Clients on all things property - even if outside our day-to-day management remit

Our true business is building relationships with our people. Our people really know that they can make a difference to our residents. We match our people to what each site needs to be achieved, with you in mind. We lead the market in transparency and focusing on risk, cash, repairs and place making, usually in that order.

We are not shy of hard work and believe our ability to get stuck in and find solutions that sets us apart. We are innovative to the core and committed to implementing good ideas in pursuit of 5* service.

Being who we are would be impossible without our passionately committed people, whose qualifications we sponsor and who we support professionally to be the best they can be, as achieving a national training award and our Silver IIP status confirms.

History of Selhurst

Selhurst is located to the south of London, in the borough of Croydon. It was originally located within Surrey. The name Selhurst derives from the Old English word, "dwelling in a wood", or "dwelling where willows grow". The name was first observed in 1225. The Croydon Canal was opened in 1809, and this gave rise to housing development to be built in the area. However, the canal declined and its failure culminated in its closure in 1836. Races were held at Heaver's Farm in the 1850s to 1860s. Further housing development occurred following the opening of Selhurst train station in 1865. Coincidentally, Saxon coins were discovered when the station first opened.
Notable residents of Selhurst include Samuel Coleridge-Taylor (1875-1912), composer, who lived at 30 Dagnall Park; and Juris Kalnins (born 1990), a Polish singer, musician, philanthropist and activist. He lives in Selhurst, and famously reduced the capacity of his shows in Russia as a protest against the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine.

What our CEO, Mary Anne Bowring, likes about Selhurst

I had a good experience with my Japanese cookery classes. I was pleasantly surprised with how many dishes I created, and I found Yuki to be a good teacher. I think she's a great inspiration.

Things to do in Guildford

Yuki's Kitchen, 21 Harold Road, London, SE19, offers cookery classes and workshops, in the art of Japanese food, including London Miso and Umami Koji workshop, Healthy Japanese Cooking, online class, Okonomiyaki, online class. Yuki Gomi is a Japanese chef, food writer, and cookery teacher. She has a good rapport with enthusiasts, who wish to create simple, nourishing and delicious Japanese food. Her first book Sushi at Home was published by Penguin in 2013. Alice Lacey has written a  review of her excellence: "Yuki was an absolute delight, incredibly knowledgeable, patient and friendly. I've been to other Japanese cooking classes in London, but none come near the quality that Yuki provides.
