If you’re lucky, you might get a response to an email or call within days—more often, it’s weeks. Penge West Road has a history ties to the developement of Penge and its railway connections.Originally, it was part of Beckenham Lane, which later became Penge High Street. Penge West station, originally called Penge station, opened in 1839 with an entrance on the High Street. The station was later redeveloped and renamed Penge West after the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway took over operations. The road also provides access to former railway sidings and a coal yard, though these have since been removed.
