Block Management North Acton

North Acton's No 1 Managing agent

Block and Estate Management is about the minutia done well: the role of a Managing Agent is technical, administrative, practical and political. It takes joined up thinking to do what we do well as well as sufficient resource to react to whatever is necessary day-to-day.

As a Managing Agent we know our true business is building relationships with people. Our people are empowered and know that they can make a difference to how people feel about where they live. We call our 'Property Manager's 'Relationship Managers’ to embody our values which are to build relationships, add value, and to take the initiative. We lead the market in transparency and focusing on risk, cash, repairs and place making, usually in that order, and was the first Managing Agent to introduce a ' money back guarantee ’.

Being who we are would be impossible without our passionately committed people, whose qualifications we sponsor and who we support professionally to be the best they can be, as achieving a national training award and our Silver IIP status confirms.

Block Management Overview

Block and Estate Management is about the minutia done well: the role of a Managing Agent is technical, administrative, practical and political. It takes joined up thinking from a multi-disciplined team with one eye on the strategic long term plan and with sufficient resource to react to whatever is necessary day-to-day: the skills that block and estate management spans are: politics, building pathology, finance, legal knowhow and of course customer service too.

As a leading Managing Agent, we are a one-stop-property shop. We understand that our role is sometimes signposting Clients to get expert advice and supporting them to interpret such advice and make decisions. We support and help owners reach out to government and other local services where matters are beyond our day-to-day block management remit.

As a Managing Agent we know our true business is building relationships with people. Our people are empowered and know that they can make a difference to how people feel about where they live. Block Management Reviews

"The lettings advisor was amazing from start to finish! It is my first time buying a rental property and she went above and beyond to make the process as easy as possible. She responded to my emails very promptly and kept me updated in the process. I would highly recommend dealing with her as she gets the job done! Can’t thank her enough"

"We have had a problem with noise from the flat above us in Lady Isle House Ferry Court Cardiff. We contacted a Mr Paul Staniforth who immediately became involved and addressed the situation. We really do appreciate what he has done for us and cannot thank him enough. Once again a big thank you to Mr Staniforth. The noise above was intolerable."

History of North Acton

North Acton, part of the London Borough of Ealing, is a richly historic and multicultural district. Even the origin of the name "Acton" itself is Old English and refers to "oak farm" or "farm by the oak tree," indicating the rural origins of the district. The area was mostly farmland for centuries, and Acton appears in records for the first time in the 10th century. Over time, Acton gradually developed from a rural village to a suburban town. During the 19th century, the region started experiencing radical changes with the construction of the Great Western Railway and, later on, the Central Line. The advent of the railway in the mid-1800s made Acton accessible to others, who migrated to the region and resulted in the expansion of houses and industry. North Acton, to the northwest of Acton proper, was a rural, small district deep into the 20th century. However, the construction of North Acton station in 1903 brought it further into contact with the growing metropolitan area, setting the stage for its transformation from fields into a more urban district.

Over the 20th century, North Acton grew more rapidly as London expanded outwards. There was considerable housing development in the area, especially after World War II, as dwellers sought cheaper accommodation outside the overcrowded city center. The construction of major roads, such as the A40 Western Avenue, also opened up central London and the surrounding area. In the post-war period, North Acton was occupied by a mix of industrial estates, residential estates, and business developments. The mixture of suburban life and industry provided the area with its identity in the second half of the 20th century. However, towards the close of the 20th century, North Acton was experiencing further urbanization with the inclusion of high-rise developments and large commercial zones. Notably, being near transport hubs like the Central Line and White City's nearby Westfield shopping complex was part of its appeal. North Acton is a thriving, mixed-use area now with new homes and businesses, all in keeping with its ongoing evolution into an important part of West London. The constant regeneration of places like Old Oak Common and the improvement of transport connections ensure that North Acton will remain an important component of the cityscape in the years to come.
