Block Management Gilingham

Gilingham's No 1 Managing agent

Block and Estate Management is about the minutia done well: the role of a Managing Agent is technical, administrative, practical and political. It takes joined up thinking to do what we do well as well as sufficient resource to react to whatever is necessary day-to-day.

As a Managing Agent we know our true business is building relationships with people. Our people are empowered and know that they can make a difference to how people feel about where they live. We call our 'Property Manager's 'Relationship Managers’ to embody our values which are to build relationships, add value, and to take the initiative. We lead the market in transparency and focusing on risk, cash, repairs and place making, usually in that order, and was the first Managing Agent to introduce a ' money back guarantee ’.

Being who we are would be impossible without our passionately committed people, whose qualifications we sponsor and who we support professionally to be the best they can be, as achieving a national training award and our Silver IIP status confirms.

Block Management Reviews

"The cleaning of the stairway is brilliant. "

Audley Clarke 93 days ago

"I would like to take a moment to recognise the cleaner at Holly Court. He is one of the most hardworking and dedicated people I’ve ever come across. I never see him when he isn’t working—he is always busy keeping the area spotless. He goes above and beyond every single day. He’s friendly, polite, and always willing to help. Whether it’s holding the door open or offering a hand if he sees someone struggling with bags, his small acts of kindness make a big difference. On one occasion, he helped my mother, who was very unwell and walking around in a state of delirium. His calm and caring response meant so much to me and my family. It’s rare to find someone who takes so much pride in their work while also genuinely caring about the people around them. he is a real asset to Holly Court, and I hope his efforts are properly recognised."

"We have had a problem with noise from the flat above us in Lady Isle House Ferry Court Cardiff. We contacted a Mr Paul Staniforth who immediately became involved and addressed the situation. We really do appreciate what he has done for us and cannot thank him enough. Once again a big thank you to Mr Staniforth. The noise above was intolerable."

History of Gilingham

Gillingham, located in the Medway Towns of Kent in Southeast England, has a history deeply connected to its maritime and industrial past. The town’s name is believed to originate from the Old English meaning “the homestead of Gylla’s people,” indicating its Anglo-Saxon roots. Historically, Gillingham was a small rural village until the 19th century, when its strategic location on the River Medway led to rapid development.

Throughout much of the 19th century, Gillingham grew significantly due to the establishment of the Royal Navy Dockyard at nearby Chatham. The arrival of the railway in the mid-1800s further boosted the town’s connectivity to London and other parts of Kent. The expansion continued with housing developments in the 20th century to accommodate dockyard workers and their families. Today, Gillingham has a population of around 100,000 and is a vibrant town that blends its rich naval heritage with modern residential, commercial, and cultural elements. Its history and evolving infrastructure continue to shape its role in the Medway region.
