Block Management Fairlop

Fairlop's No 1 Managing agent

Block and Estate Management is about the minutia done well: the role of a Managing Agent is technical, administrative, practical and political. It takes joined up thinking to do what we do well as well as sufficient resource to react to whatever is necessary day-to-day.

As a Managing Agent we know our true business is building relationships with people. Our people are empowered and know that they can make a difference to how people feel about where they live. We call our 'Property Manager's 'Relationship Managers’ to embody our values which are to build relationships, add value, and to take the initiative. We lead the market in transparency and focusing on risk, cash, repairs and place making, usually in that order, and was the first Managing Agent to introduce a ' money back guarantee ’.

Being who we are would be impossible without our passionately committed people, whose qualifications we sponsor and who we support professionally to be the best they can be, as achieving a national training award and our Silver IIP status confirms.

"We have had a problem with noise from the flat above us in Lady Isle House Ferry Court Cardiff. We contacted a Mr Paul Staniforth who immediately became involved and addressed the situation. We really do appreciate what he has done for us and cannot thank him enough. Once again a big thank you to Mr Staniforth. The noise above was intolerable."

History of Fairlop

Fairlop’s history dates back to the 16th century, with its name derived from the iconic Fairlop Oak, a massive tree that once stood as a central gathering point for the local community. The oak, believed to be one of the largest in England, became a symbol of the area and was deeply embedded in local folklore. For centuries, Fairlop remained part of the Manor of Ilford, its rural landscape dominated by farmland and scattered cottages. It offered a peaceful retreat from the rapidly urbanizing surroundings, preserving a tranquil, pastoral charm. The oak and its surrounding land served as both a landmark and a testament to the area's long-standing connection to nature and tradition.

The arrival of the London Underground in the early 20th century marked a turning point for Fairlop, spurring its transformation from a quiet rural area to a bustling suburban neighborhood. The extension of the Central Line made the area more accessible, attracting families and professionals looking for a balance between suburban life and proximity to central London. As new housing and infrastructure developments took root, Fairlop managed to retain its historical character, with green spaces and parks preserving its natural beauty. Today, Fairlop offers a harmonious blend of history and modern living, with its past embodied in the legacy of the Fairlop Oak and its present marked by a thriving community surrounded by both nature and urban conveniences.
