We are looking for accountant who has previous experience in preparation of Service charge accounts. The role requires strong accounting skills (accruals, deferred income, prepayments, etc). It is essential, understanding of Landlord and Tenant acts and understanding of leases.
Also, our Financial officers liaise directly with our clients and directors, so it is important to have clear and comprehensive communication skills.

Job Description:
Ringley's Final Accounts Team produce hundreds of sets of company and service charge accounts for our Clients. As the role is continuingly evolving, we prepare a financial reporting, KPIs for our clients. Learning how the lease affects surpluses and deficits and apportioning costs on new build developments between the developer and the owners.
What do I need to do to become an Service Charge Accountant - candidate requirements
Main responsibilities:
Deliver year end accounts to residents in a timely fashion
Carry out the necessary transactions to ensure a smooth accounting process for accounts
Resolve issues on accounts and ensure a quality service is provided to customers/ clients
Deliver to department productivity metrics and contribute to the team and organisational goals
Liaise effectively with auditors to deliver a smooth audit process and provide the best possible outcome for our customers and our clients
Adopt a proactive approach at all times to audit and accounts, liaising with analysts/ managers on areas of concern
Take full responsibility of your own development and contribute positively and effectively to the team through creative ideas, tested processes or feedback from colleagues/ external parties.
Prepare all pertinent data for handover once no longer acting instruction has been received
Process any instructions following external and/or internal agreement between parties i.e. making adjustments
Reconciliation and approval of void costs regarding vacant units
Oversee a company’s Bank reconciliations
Liaison with our governing bodies, such as FCA, RICS, ARMA
