The concern is a lack of quality single housing accommodation in the private rental sector, increased concern grows around landlords who could be neglecting the quality of accommodation and don’t have a designated team to manage their portfolio to today’s constantly improving standards. Along with availability of stock the longer term priorities must shift towards new 1-2 bedrooms units at a variety of prices with consideration for an increasing age demographic in supported living.
