Local companies offer apprenticeships
Faces in the news LEFT:
Best friends James Ashmore (far left) and Jasper Gray (right) are carrying out apprenticeships at rival Camden firms. The pair both applied for placements at Ringley Chartered Surveyors in Royal College Street, Camden Town, but after a two-week trial the firm's managing director Mary-Anne Bowring (centre) couldn't separate them. So Ms Bowring took Jasper on and arranged for James to carry out his apprenticeship with nearby Gray's Inn Estates, in Kentish Town Road. She said: Having only one position and choosing between equal candidates, both best friends, was an impossible possible position to be faced with. Times are so tough, it's so bleak for youngsters and in this case James and Jasper were both great lads. I wanted to give them a good start so I started networking with other Camden business owners, as in my heart I had to give both a chance.
