Block Management Uxbridge

Uxbridge's No 1 Managing agent

Block and Estate Management is about the minutia done well: the role of a Managing Agent is technical, administrative, practical and political. It takes joined up thinking to do what we do well as well as sufficient resource to react to whatever is necessary day-to-day.

As a Managing Agent we know our true business is building relationships with people. Our people are empowered and know that they can make a difference to how people feel about where they live. We call our 'Property Manager's 'Relationship Managers’ to embody our values which are to build relationships, add value, and to take the initiative. We lead the market in transparency and focusing on risk, cash, repairs and place making, usually in that order, and was the first Managing Agent to introduce a ' money back guarantee ’.

Being who we are would be impossible without our passionately committed people, whose qualifications we sponsor and who we support professionally to be the best they can be, as achieving a national training award and our Silver IIP status confirms.

Block Management Reviews

"The housekeeper for our block is a legend"

"My partner and I have lived at Anaconda for over 5 years and absolutely love it. The staff and facilities are brilliant. Concierge always top notch with Simon and Jay looking after parcels and overall wellness/safety. Antonia and Elle super friendly and helped us move to a different apartment within the building and making the transition super smooth! Finally the maintenance team but a special mention to Shane. I’d put in a request and he’d always respond within the hour. Any issues, he follows up and makes sure all is sorted. Would really recommend living here as the management and team are like an extended family."

"We have had a problem with noise from the flat above us in Lady Isle House Ferry Court Cardiff. We contacted a Mr Paul Staniforth who immediately became involved and addressed the situation. We really do appreciate what he has done for us and cannot thank him enough. Once again a big thank you to Mr Staniforth. The noise above was intolerable."

History of Uxbridge

Uxbridge, located in the west of Greater London, has a rich history that dates back to Roman times, with evidence of early settlements in the area. The town's name is believed to have originated from the Old English word "Oxenaforda," meaning "oxen's ford," referring to a crossing point on the River Colne for cattle. Uxbridge remained a small rural settlement for centuries, but its strategic location near London and on the main route to the west made it an important stop for travelers. By the medieval period, Uxbridge had developed into a market town and a key centre for trade, particularly in wool and agricultural products. The town’s growth accelerated in the 18th and 19th centuries due to the expansion of the canal network and the arrival of the railway. The Grand Junction Canal, opened in 1794, allowed for the easier transport of goods, while the arrival of the railway in the mid-19th century linked Uxbridge more directly to central London, making it a desirable location for commuters. During the 20th century, Uxbridge became a thriving urban center with the development of new housing, shopping facilities, and industry. The town also became known for its association with the RAF, as nearby RAF Uxbridge played a significant role during World War II.

Today, Uxbridge is a bustling town that blends its historical roots with modern conveniences. It is known for its vibrant shopping district, including the Pavilions Shopping Centre, as well as a mix of residential, commercial, and leisure spaces. Uxbridge is also home to the University of Brunel, a major educational institution, which contributes to the town’s youthful energy. Despite its urban development, Uxbridge retains elements of its past, with historic buildings, such as Uxbridge’s Grade II-listed High Street, and green spaces like the nearby Colne Valley Regional Park.Uxbridge’s strong transport links, including the Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines of the London Underground, make it a popular location for commuters, while its mix of modern amenities and historic charm gives it a unique appeal. The town continues to evolve, offering a balance of residential living, business opportunities, and recreational spaces. It stands as a prime example of a town that has successfully combined its rich history with contemporary development.
