Block and Estate Management is about the minutia done well: the role of a Managing Agent is technical, administrative, practical and political. It takes joined up thinking to do what we do well as well as sufficient resource to react to whatever is necessary day-to-day.
As a Managing Agent we know our true business is building relationships with people. Our people are empowered and know that they can make a difference to how people feel about where they live. We call our 'Property Manager's 'Relationship Managers’ to embody our values which are to build relationships, add value, and to take the initiative. We lead the market in transparency and focusing on risk, cash, repairs and place making, usually in that order, and was the first Managing Agent to introduce a ' money back guarantee ’.
Being who we are would be impossible without our passionately committed people, whose qualifications we sponsor and who we support professionally to be the best they can be, as achieving a national training award and our Silver IIP status confirms.

"We have had a problem with noise from the flat above us in Lady Isle House Ferry Court Cardiff. We contacted a Mr Paul Staniforth who immediately became involved and addressed the situation. We really do appreciate what he has done for us and cannot thank him enough. Once again a big thank you to Mr Staniforth. The noise above was intolerable."

Cultural Scene in Primrose Hill
Primrose Hill’s roots reach back into rural Middlesex, where its grassy slopes and meadows stood clear since at least the Middle Ages. The name “Primrose Hill” is old, in use from the 15th century, and refers to the primroses that grew there in spring. Over time it was part of larger estates (including land owned by Eton College) and agricultural fields, with woodland giving way to pasture as London expanded outward. In 1841 the Crown bought the land and in 1842 an Act of Parliament officially secured Primrose Hill as a public open space. The park was laid out with paths, drainage improvements, lighting, and planting over the mid‑ to late‑19th century, transforming what had once been fields into one of London’s cherished green spaces.
As London grew in the Victorian and Edwardian eras, the area around Primrose Hill evolved into a desirable residential neighbourhood. Elegant villas and terraced houses were built on the slopes and surrounding roads, catering to affluent residents drawn by the views across the city, green outlook, and sense of village character. Notable engineering works accompanied this growth: the first railway tunnel in London was built beneath Primrose Hill in the 1830s, and substantial landscaping, fencing, and other park infrastructure were added throughout the 19th century. By the turn of the 20th century, the park was surrounded on three sides by development, and Primrose Hill had firmly established itself as an urban village‑style enclave green, scenic, and closely connected to the rhythms of the growing metropolis.

Primrose Hill has a long-standing reputation for attracting writers, artists, actors and musicians – often referred to as a “celebrity village.” Residents have included Sylvia Plath, Ted Hughes, Jude Law, Kate Moss, and many more. The community is tight-knit, with a real village feel – residents value its independent shops, relaxed social scene, and lack of chains.
Despite its exclusivity, the area has a creative, bohemian legacy. Its proximity to Camden ensures a continued link with music, street culture and youth expression, while also maintaining its upscale serenity.
