Block Management Old Ford

Old Ford's No 1 Managing agent

Block and Estate Management is about the minutia done well: the role of a Managing Agent is technical, administrative, practical and political. It takes joined up thinking to do what we do well as well as sufficient resource to react to whatever is necessary day-to-day.

As a Managing Agent we know our true business is building relationships with people. Our people are empowered and know that they can make a difference to how people feel about where they live. We call our 'Property Manager's 'Relationship Managers’ to embody our values which are to build relationships, add value, and to take the initiative. We lead the market in transparency and focusing on risk, cash, repairs and place making, usually in that order, and was the first Managing Agent to introduce a ' money back guarantee ’.

Being who we are would be impossible without our passionately committed people, whose qualifications we sponsor and who we support professionally to be the best they can be, as achieving a national training award and our Silver IIP status confirms.

Block Management Reviews

"We've had some issues recently with a leak in our flat's ceiling in Prospect Place. The onsite caretaker has been round on several occasions now to assess and repair the damage. He's been incredibly friendly and explained the process at each step. He's persevered through a lengthy repair process with a few hurdles to overcome and has generally been a credit to Ringley!"

"We have had a problem with noise from the flat above us in Lady Isle House Ferry Court Cardiff. We contacted a Mr Paul Staniforth who immediately became involved and addressed the situation. We really do appreciate what he has done for us and cannot thank him enough. Once again a big thank you to Mr Staniforth. The noise above was intolerable."

History of Old Ford

Old Ford is an extremely ancient East London district dating back to the early medieval era. It takes its name from a ford on the River Lea which traders and travelers used to cross. Old Ford was not highly urbanized until industrialization in the 19th century and the spread of railways spuriously initiated the speedy urbanization. During the late 1800s, Old Ford also grew in density with the development of the terraced houses, factories, and other industrial buildings, resulting in an integral component of the working-class communities in East London.

During the 20th century, Old Ford had experienced many changes that were rather radical due to urbanization combined with rising demand for housing. Urbanization of the East End housing estates and the closeness to the River Thames helped in converting the area into a residential area. The region was industrialized until the 1970s, when the factories were shut down, and it continued with residential expansion. Over the recent years, Old Ford has been gentrified, from the establishment of local amenities and infrastructure. It now consists of a combination of its historic architecture, parks, and burgeoning cultural life.
