Block Management Overview

Management is about the minutia done well. It takes a team across a range of disciplines to deal with the multiple facets of block and estate management: politics, building pathology, finance, legal knowhow and of course customer service too.

At Ringley we believe in joined up thinking and commit to signpost Clients on all things property - even if outside our day-to-day management remit

Our true business is building relationships with our people. Our people really know that they can make a difference to our residents. We match our people to what each site needs to be achieved, with you in mind. We lead the market in transparency and focusing on risk, cash, repairs and place making, usually in that order.

We are not shy of hard work and believe our ability to get stuck in and find solutions that sets us apart. We are innovative to the core and committed to implementing good ideas in pursuit of 5* service.

Being who we are would be impossible without our passionately committed people, whose qualifications we sponsor and who we support professionally to be the best they can be, as achieving a national training award and our Silver IIP status confirms.

History of Sidcup

Sidcup is located in south-east London, in the London Borough of Bexley. It is 11.3 miles south-east of Charing Cross. Sidcup borders the London boroughs of Bromley and Greenwich, and is in the historic county of Kent. In 1254 the old name was first known as Cetecopp, derived from Old English words meaning either a 'fold in a hill' or 'seat-shaped or flat-topped hill'. Sidcup was initially a very small hamlet on the road from Maidstone to London. It is thought that Thomas de Sedcopp was owner of this estate, during the reign of Henry VI, at some time during the 1450s. A nearby house called Frognal was rebuilt several times between the 15th and early 18th centuries. In the 18th century, Sidcup consisted merely of a small street of houses, and one inn, the former Black Horse pub, on the high street.

What our CEO, Mary Anne Bowring, likes about Sidcup

I very much walking along the River Cray. There are lovely views, and it's great to see wildlife, in this protected environment.

Things to do in Sidcup

The Friends were set up in June 2006 to protect Foots Cray Meadows, a good mixture of landscaped open space, meadows and woodland, covering an area of 97 hectares. The River Cray runs through Foots Cray Meadows, in a north-easterly direction. The river provides an ideal opportunity for sightseers to enjoy the scenery. Wildlife and its habitat are protected, and the public's awareness of the open space is promoted by The Friends: plants, wildlife, landscape, and supporting appropriate recreational facilities, for the benefit of community gruops and the general public.

Sidcup Cultural Scene
