Block Management Shepherds Bush
As a specialist Block Management Company we are operating in Shepherds Bush .
History of Shepherds Bush
Shepherd's Bush in west London, was entirely rural until the late 18th century. The district originally consisted of a few farm houses and farms, around a junction in the old Roman road, where the track turned off towards the river spa of Hammersmith.
During the reign of Charles I, (1625-1649), Shepherd's Bush was first named. It is thought that the name derived from the Green, a triangle of common land, where drovers used to rest and graze sheep, on the way to the market at Smithfield. Hence the original name "Sheppard's Bush Green".
The English Civil Wars started in August 1642, when Charles I raised an army against the wishes of Parliament, to deal with a rebellion in Ireland. Charles I's enemy was Oliver Cromwell; and conflicts emerged which divided Britain. Charles I stood for Roman Catholicism, and his opponent Oliver Cromwell, stood for Protestantism. After three wars fought between Charles I and Parliament between 1642 and 1651, Oliver Cromwell emerged as victor. However, Charles I had already been sentenced to death by beheading, in 1649. In 1657, during Cromwell's leadership, Miles Syndercombe hired a cottage that stood on the site of the present Bush Hotel, and planned to use a basic form of machine-gun to assassinate Oliver Cromwell on his way to Hampton Court, but was betrayed by his fellow men.
