Block Management Shenfield

Shenfield's No 1 Managing agent

Block and Estate Management is about the minutia done well: the role of a Managing Agent is technical, administrative, practical and political. It takes joined up thinking to do what we do well as well as sufficient resource to react to whatever is necessary day-to-day.

As a Managing Agent we know our true business is building relationships with people. Our people are empowered and know that they can make a difference to how people feel about where they live. We call our 'Property Manager's 'Relationship Managers’ to embody our values which are to build relationships, add value, and to take the initiative. We lead the market in transparency and focusing on risk, cash, repairs and place making, usually in that order, and was the first Managing Agent to introduce a ' money back guarantee ’.

Being who we are would be impossible without our passionately committed people, whose qualifications we sponsor and who we support professionally to be the best they can be, as achieving a national training award and our Silver IIP status confirms.

"We have had a problem with noise from the flat above us in Lady Isle House Ferry Court Cardiff. We contacted a Mr Paul Staniforth who immediately became involved and addressed the situation. We really do appreciate what he has done for us and cannot thank him enough. Once again a big thank you to Mr Staniforth. The noise above was intolerable."

History of Shenfield

Shenfield is a small town located in Essex, approximately 25 miles northeast of Central London. Its history dates back to the early medieval period, with its name derived from Old English. The name "Shenfield" is believed to come from the Old English words "scīr" (meaning bright or shining) and "feld" (meaning field), which may refer to a clearing or meadow in a bright or sunny location. The village itself was first documented in the Domesday Book of 1086, where it was recorded as "Scenefeld," indicating its early establishment.During the medieval period, Shenfield was a quiet agricultural settlement, primarily reliant on farming. As with many rural towns in Essex, its economy was based on the cultivation of crops and the raising of livestock. The land surrounding Shenfield was part of the larger manor of Brentwood, which was owned by the wealthy families of the time. The village remained relatively small and isolated until the 19th century, when significant changes took place with the arrival of the railway.

The construction of the London, Tilbury, and Southend Railway in the mid-19th century revolutionized the town, as it made transportation to London much easier and quicker. Shenfield station opened in 1856, which led to the expansion of the village and the development of new housing as more people moved to the area seeking a more rural lifestyle while still being within easy reach of the capital. This sparked the beginning of Shenfield's transformation from a rural community into a suburban area.In the 20th and 21st centuries, Shenfield continued to develop, with a combination of residential, commercial, and recreational facilities being built. The town has become increasingly popular with commuters due to its proximity to London, while retaining a more village-like atmosphere compared to other nearby towns. Today, Shenfield is a thriving suburban area with a mixture of historic and modern architecture, as well as a strong sense of community. Its history, however, remains rooted in its agricultural past, and remnants of its earlier days can still be seen in the village’s architecture and local landmarks.
