Block Management Medway

Medway 's No 1 Managing agent

Block and Estate Management is about the minutia done well: the role of a Managing Agent is technical, administrative, practical and political. It takes joined up thinking to do what we do well as well as sufficient resource to react to whatever is necessary day-to-day.

As a Managing Agent we know our true business is building relationships with people. Our people are empowered and know that they can make a difference to how people feel about where they live. We call our 'Property Manager's 'Relationship Managers’ to embody our values which are to build relationships, add value, and to take the initiative. We lead the market in transparency and focusing on risk, cash, repairs and place making, usually in that order, and was the first Managing Agent to introduce a ' money back guarantee ’.

Being who we are would be impossible without our passionately committed people, whose qualifications we sponsor and who we support professionally to be the best they can be, as achieving a national training award and our Silver IIP status confirms.

Block Management Overview

It takes joined up thinking from a multi-disciplined team with one eye on the strategic long term plan and with sufficient resource to react to whatever is necessary day-to-day: the skills that block and estate management spans are: politics, building pathology, finance, legal knowhow and of course customer service too.

As a leading Managing Agent, we are a one-stop-property shop. Block Management Reviews

"Our relationship manager has been excellent. She is competent, clearly knows her job and equally importantly is responsive to emails and keeps people in the picture."

Sandy Buchanan 75 days ago

"The village manager and the maintenance engineer provided surprisingly good service when I had an issue here on my estate in Greenwich. They responded quickly, popped round the next day and sorted my issue. The maintenance engineer also explained how everything worked and what I needed to do going forward. I wish all engineers were this good."

"We have had a problem with noise from the flat above us in Lady Isle House Ferry Court Cardiff. We contacted a Mr Paul Staniforth who immediately became involved and addressed the situation. We really do appreciate what he has done for us and cannot thank him enough. Once again a big thank you to Mr Staniforth. The noise above was intolerable."

History of Medway

Medway is a conurbation in Kent, located in the southeastern part of England. Named after the River Medway, which flows through the area, it has a rich history dating back to ancient times. Roman settlements were established here, with Rochester becoming a notable centre. Today, the enduring presence of Rochester Castle and Rochester Cathedral—both built in the medieval period—attests to the area’s historical significance. During the Norman period, Medway grew into a key military and maritime hub, largely due to its strategic riverside location.

The Royal Navy's influence shaped Medway’s identity, especially with the founding of Chatham Dockyard in the 16th century. This dockyard became central to shipbuilding and naval operations, fuelling economic growth in the region. By the 19th and 20th centuries, Medway had become an industrial powerhouse, with a strong focus on shipbuilding, manufacturing, and engineering. Although the decline of the naval industry in the late 20th century brought economic challenges, the area successfully transitioned into a diverse, modern economy centred on services, technology, and the creative industries. Today, Medway is celebrated for its heritage landmarks, lively cultural scene, and expanding residential appeal, positioning it as a key part of Kent and the wider London commuter belt.
