Block Management Maida Vale

Maida Vale 's No 1 Managing agent

Block and Estate Management is about the minutia done well: the role of a Managing Agent is technical, administrative, practical and political. It takes joined up thinking to do what we do well as well as sufficient resource to react to whatever is necessary day-to-day.

As a Managing Agent we know our true business is building relationships with people. Our people are empowered and know that they can make a difference to how people feel about where they live. We call our 'Property Manager's 'Relationship Managers’ to embody our values which are to build relationships, add value, and to take the initiative. We lead the market in transparency and focusing on risk, cash, repairs and place making, usually in that order, and was the first Managing Agent to introduce a ' money back guarantee ’.

Being who we are would be impossible without our passionately committed people, whose qualifications we sponsor and who we support professionally to be the best they can be, as achieving a national training award and our Silver IIP status confirms.

Block Management Reviews

"Incredibly helpful, professional and accessible. There was always somebody available to explain the details."

"I moved into a Ringley managed property recently and there have been a few small issues, with low heating temperature as the main one. Georgia from Ringley took this issue very seriously and has been so helpful in resolving it in a timely fashion. There was no need to chase her given that she followed up with emails to check for updates. In the end 3 engineers were involved but Georgia made sure the heating was fixed. Given the recent cold weather and my small children this exceptional service was appreciated. Thanks again Georgia!!"

"We have had a problem with noise from the flat above us in Lady Isle House Ferry Court Cardiff. We contacted a Mr Paul Staniforth who immediately became involved and addressed the situation. We really do appreciate what he has done for us and cannot thank him enough. Once again a big thank you to Mr Staniforth. The noise above was intolerable."

History of Maida Vale

Maida Vale, located in West London within the City of Westminster, has a rich and layered history that dates back to the early 19th century. The area was originally part of the Paddington district and began its development in earnest during the Regency and Victorian periods. It was named after the Battle of Maida (1806), a British military victory in southern Italy, and the name was later used for a local pub — The Hero of Maida — which helped cement the area’s identity. By the mid-1800s, Maida Vale had become known for its elegant, tree-lined avenues and grand mansion blocks, many of which still stand today. These red-brick buildings, with their spacious apartments and ornate detailing, were among the earliest examples of purpose-built flats in London, aimed at middle-class residents seeking refined urban living.

As the 20th century unfolded, Maida Vale developed a reputation as a quiet, respectable residential area, known for its genteel atmosphere and architectural beauty. It also became culturally significant thanks to the BBC Maida Vale Studios, established in the 1930s, which hosted recordings and broadcasts by legendary artists including The Beatles, David Bowie, and countless orchestras and radio programs. The neighborhood is also home to part of “Little Venice,” a picturesque section of the Regent’s Canal, which added a waterside charm and helped shape its character as a peaceful and somewhat bohemian enclave. Over time, Maida Vale has maintained its status as one of London’s most desirable postcodes, balancing historical elegance with modern convenience.
