Block Management East Acton

East Acton's No 1 Managing agent

Block and Estate Management is about the minutia done well: the role of a Managing Agent is technical, administrative, practical and political. It takes joined up thinking to do what we do well as well as sufficient resource to react to whatever is necessary day-to-day.

As a Managing Agent we know our true business is building relationships with people. Our people are empowered and know that they can make a difference to how people feel about where they live. We call our 'Property Manager's 'Relationship Managers’ to embody our values which are to build relationships, add value, and to take the initiative. We lead the market in transparency and focusing on risk, cash, repairs and place making, usually in that order, and was the first Managing Agent to introduce a ' money back guarantee ’.

Being who we are would be impossible without our passionately committed people, whose qualifications we sponsor and who we support professionally to be the best they can be, as achieving a national training award and our Silver IIP status confirms.

Block Management Reviews

"I have been living in Anaconda for over 5 years now. The team is the most amazing bunch of people who made my past 5 years feel like home. The team are always helping with any issues, always organising the most amazing workshops! The concierge team, always a welcome face, a smile, always feeling safer coming back home…genuinely makes a massive difference in our busy day. Genuinely, I couldn’t have asked for a better place to live the past 5 years."

"We moved in towards the beginning of January 24, and Antonia was our main point of contact. She was brilliant through out our move and very prompt with her responses. The entire team in fact are great, all the building management members make sure it’s a community, it’s been a great experience even with our renewal coming up. Great apartments, ideal location too. There’s a lot of peace and quiet but a stone throw away from the busy streets. AC is a really comfortable option."

Mihir Karve 192 days ago

"We have had a problem with noise from the flat above us in Lady Isle House Ferry Court Cardiff. We contacted a Mr Paul Staniforth who immediately became involved and addressed the situation. We really do appreciate what he has done for us and cannot thank him enough. Once again a big thank you to Mr Staniforth. The noise above was intolerable."

History of East Acton

East Acton, being a neighborhood in West London, also has a rich history from medieval times. The earliest mention of East Acton can be found in 1294, which indicates its existence as a rural settlement. "Acton" is also derived from Old English "Aketon," meaning "oak farm," so it signifies the farm-based origin of the area. East Acton appears on John Norden's map of 1610, which indicates its presence on ancient maps. By the 19th century, the area had already begun urbanization, as developing the East Acton Underground station in 1920 was a milestone in its development. Its transformation went on in the early 20th century.

The Acton Golf Club mapped out a course on land that would be future Golf Links land in 1909. This zone, once farmland, was developed as a residential estate during the 1920s with houses for war veterans of World War I. Goldsmiths' Company, which had secured land in East Acton, contributed to the development of the area through promoting suburbanization and building housing for middle-class professionals. East Acton evolves even further today, with new developments determining its nature and population.

Most prestigious roads in East Acton

East Acton, in the West London borough of Ealing, has been increasing its appeal with its evolving mix of old-world charm and new-millennium accessibility. Thanks to the advantage of Central Line transportation, proximity to parks like Wormwood Scrubs, and diversity of character housing, East Acton has areas of prestige that appeal to families, professionals, and investors alike. Listed below are ten of the most desirable streets in the area.

1. East Acton Lane
A busy road lined with nice 1930s and Edwardian houses, some of which have large driveways and gardens. Popular for offering amenity with space.

2. Bromyard Avenue
Home of the gated Bromyard House complex—a previous Art Deco BBC base—this is renowned for being swanky and exclusive flats with concierge.

3. Kathleen Avenue
A quiet, tree-lined suburban street with attractive bay-fronted houses. Its soothing environment and neighborhood vibe make it very desirable to families.

4. Perryn Road
Bordered by Acton Central, this elegant road features larger semi-detached and detached houses. It provides green environments with the advantages of both East and Central Acton nearby.

5. Friars Place Lane
Hidden but close to high street, there are period terraces and some of the larger, more unique houses, all within walking distance of local schools and amenities.

6. Savoy Circus (Acton Vale end)
Acton Vale from here to the East Acton area has larger Victorian houses with good transport, particularly for commuters to the city.

7. Gunnersbury Lane (Eastern End)
Further towards Acton Town but extending towards East Acton, this road offers attractive period properties and good transport and school links.

8. The Fairway
A housing road renowned for its post-war family dwellings, green verges, and quiet suburban feel—trendy but overlooked.

9. Trentham Street
A tidy, community-oriented road with traditional terraced homes.Near East Acton station, a combination of charm and convenience will be found to be a winner.

10. Old Oak Road (southern part)
Bordering the Goldhawk Road and Chiswick boundaries, this southern part of Old Oak Road contains larger, character homes and growing popularity due to nearby regeneration proposals.

While East Acton can never match the fame of the areas around it, its most desirable streets offer first-class value, transport links, and mixed architectural heritage. These are the ten roads that demonstrate the district's growing popularity, which makes East Acton a wiser choice for savvy buyers and renters.

Things to do in East Acton

East Acton, a busy London borough in West London, boasts a rich and evolving cultural scene reflecting its multicultural society and creative ambitions. One of the cornerstones of that cultural mosaic is the W3 Gallery, located at 185 High Street. This volunteer-run, not-for-profit gallery is an energetic arts space with exhibitions, performances, and workshops by local artists and bringing the community together through imaginative art. Programming in the gallery encompasses visual art, sound, moving image, and performance, and aims to make art accessible to all and re-establish Acton High Street as a cultural hub. Augmenting the W3 Gallery's work, the Acton and Park Royal Creative Enterprise Zone, launched in 2022, builds a thriving creative community for artists, designers, filmmakers, and musicians. The venture accommodates over 15 artists' studios, film and recording spaces, and practice rooms, where they have affordable creative environments and possibilities for collaboration. The zone also boasts activities such as open studios, pop-up stores, and exhibitions, contributing to the cultural richness of the area and offering platforms for emerging talent.

In addition to these established areas, East Acton has community-driven projects like Acton Connect, a free and open series of activities including arts and crafts, yoga, and gardening. These initiatives serve the goal of reducing social isolation and fostering a sense of community through providing accessible spaces for residents to join in activities of recreation and creativity.

Together, these cultural pursuits exhibit East Acton's commitment to creativity development, diversity promotion, and creating a community sense of belonging to all people through the arts.
