A Discussion on Leadership in Business

You can listen to Ringley Group MD Mary-Anne Bowring discussing leadership in the property industry in a new podcast hosted by Matthew O’Neill. This episode is part of a series by The Leaders Council of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, which explores what leadership means today across different industries.

Understanding Leadership in the UK

The Leaders Council champions the achievements of British leaders in business and politics. As part of their ongoing discussions, they invited Mary-Anne Bowring to share her insights on leadership and discuss the challenges faced by businesses during the coronavirus lockdown.

Insights from The Leaders Council Chairman

Lord Blunkett, chairman of the Leaders Council, commented:

“The most informative part of each episode is where Matthew O'Neill speaks to someone who truly understands their industry and knows how to inspire others. That’s what leadership is all about.”

Mary-Anne Bowring’s Leadership Experience

Mary-Anne founded Ringley Group 20 years ago and is a regular media commentator on:

  • Leasehold reform
  • Building safety regulations
  • The UK housing market

At Ringley Group, the team manages over 12,000 homes across the UK and has advised major residential investors such as Patrizia, Curlew, and Moda Living. Most recently, £2m has been invested in tech products for the property industry, including the launch of PlanetRent, an automated lettings platform.

Mary-Anne’s Experience on the Podcast

Mary-Anne was thrilled to be part of the Leaders Council podcast during such a challenging time for the property sector. She shared:

“Speaking with Matthew about the challenges I face daily and offering advice to the younger generation was brilliant. It was great to share insights into my career and the journey to where I am now.”

Featuring an Exclusive Interview with Sir Geoff Hurst

The episode also includes an exclusive interview with England football legend, Sir Geoff Hurst—the only player to have scored a hat trick in a World Cup Final. If you’re interested in property, leadership, or football, you can listen to the full podcast on YouTube!
