'I'm truly proud of what the team has achieved, particularly given the formidable competition they were up against', stated Mary-Anne Bowring, Ringley MD. 'The whole team tirelessly work to develop and deliver an outstanding package.

It's great that their effors have been recognised outside of the business and they can stand proud alongside national software houses.
We put a real emphasis on training and development here, increasingly bring people in on apprenticeships and building the company from within, and so having our people in on apprenticeships and bilding the company from within, and so having our Training initiatives recognised in these national and well respected awards was equally great'.
The 17 award winners were announced at a gala dinner at the Lancaster London Hotel in early May, hosted by comedian Dominic Holland and Grant Leonard, PROPERTYdrum Magazine's Joint MD. The awards were decided by a panel of industry leaders and experts with an online public vote of PROPERTYdrum and The Negotiator magazine readers also being taken into consideration.

Pictured is Ringley's winning IT delivery team and for more on the great letting and management solutions they have developed.

Balcony fires - don't take the risk
Following the fire in June that raced through a block in Barking via wooden-clad balconies, the government now has an advice note for block owners and residents. Balconies must not compromise resident safety by providing a means of external fire spread. Balconies must be included in fire risk assessments. If they contain combustible material, they should be removed and replaced.

Ground Rent collection costs slashed to 5%
Ground rent and the covenants in the lease define the relationship between the leaseholder and the freeholder. The leaseholder pays the predetermined ground rent to the landlord, usually annually, half-yearly, or quarterly. This payment allows the leaseholder to continue owning the lease, as failure to pay could lead to forfeiture of the lease.
