The report that greenhouse gas emission from residential homes is increasing is an alarming sign for environmentalists and the government. In 2022 the average home in the UK produces around 2.29 tons of CO2 annually, this is not down but up from 2.18 in 2021.  2022 data suggests there was a 4.7 percent increase in UK greenhouse gas emissions year on year, totalling 424.5m tonnes of CO2
