The housing market is cranking back into gear after the Government lifted curbs on property viewings and removals, liberating buyers to go hunting for bargains. Mary-Anne Bowring, managing director at Ringley Group, said the market will take time to return to its pre-coronavirus state and backed Royal Insititute of Chartered Surveyors' calls for a stamp duty holiday: "This would trigger a stampede in transactions, while extending the Help to Buy scheme will support sales and housebuilding."
