Pentyrch has been inhabited for over three millennia, since Neolithic and Bronze Age farmers made their living from the land's light upland soil. The natural resources in the area also attracted people in the 17th Century as the area's potential for coal and iron extraction resulted in workers cottages being constructed nearby.

Regency Park, Llanilltern Village

Regency Park offers a collection of new four and five-bedroom homes located in the village of Creigiau, which is just 8 miles north-west of the vibrant city of Cardiff.

Pentyrch is an area rich with history and heritage, this also provides the area with many historical landmarks which would be a pleasure to visit; these include St. Catwg's Church and the King's Arms. Fun fact, the King's Arms was in fact a seventeenth century copyhold farm called Cae Golman, but it then became a public house in the 18th Century an in fact, the fireplace at the pub right now, can be dated as far back as 1711.

Things to do in Pentyrch

There are many things to do in Pentyrch, for instance you could join the numerous sports clubs in the area including Pentyrch Rangers football club which has nearly 200 registered players and runs 10 junior and mini football teams in the Cardiff and District League. If that isn't your cup of tea, then you can visit the Acapela Studio to view some excellent live performances.

Pentyrch Cultural Scene

A fun fact is that Pentyrch has pop-culture ties, this is through the Acapela Studio which has hosted many programs on the BBC and S4C. In fact, the owner of the studio, Catrin Finch, was the official harpist for the Prince of Wales from 2000 to 2004.
