Quality is crucial whatever the size of property and here is what tenants expect from their rental home to be or have:
|Close proximity to good transport links;|
|For family accommodation, being close to good schools matters;|
|For young professionals, think shopping and leisure facilities;|
|Light and neutral contemporary décor;|
|Choose contemporary furnishings, dark leather sofas wear well and can complement neutral décor;|
|Beds: make them large, pay extra for under bed storage. In smaller rooms 4ft double beds are more popular than single beds;|
|Washer dryers are not that much more expensive than a washing machine and properly dried clothes help reduce condensation;|

Before you become a London landlord consider the following costs and obligations:
